James, an expert bagpiper, wishes desperately to enter a contest by playing with a prestigious Scottish group and he practices daily. But James is not alone; the River Rats are watching. Pi Investigative Services has other cases along the way--a drug-addicted prostitute whose mother is raising her children, a Little Person that sees space aliens in his yard, the mysterious murder of feral cats, and a kidnapped child are all a part of the fabric of the latest in the series.
