I am a 25 year seasoned holistic Pediatric Occupational Therapist and in those 25 years, I have heard so many of my parents ask such questions as "Why did my doctor not tell me this? Why won't anyone listen to me when I say there is something going on with my child? Why is all that you do not written in one place? What is leaky gut? Why is diet so important? Can you please write all of this down?" I have sat on this for far too long and have written this book in a fun and playful way but with all the professionalism necessary to guide you in the right direction when you have discovered or are trying to discover that your child may or may not have special needs. I will guide you through the questions to ask, the checklists to be sure to fill out, and tons of other information that has been asked of me over the years. The time is now to rid frustrated parents of the overwhelming feeling of not knowing which way to go to get their child the help that they need only to find out much later the route they should have gone or the questions they should have asked and therefore losing precious time. My Dragonfly Approach is holistic and recognizes that each child and family is a unique unit. My love and passion for what I was put on this earth to do are felt all throughout this book and written from my heart, from my experience as a mother who has children of her own with their own set of special needs, as well as my own special needs of ADHD, dyslexia, and sensory processing disorder. If you are looking for THE book to guide you in the right direction, you have found it and I wish I had written it a heck of a lot earlier.
