Is this because in the first century everyone knew what crucifixion entailed and had witnessed it on various occasions, or perhaps because it was so horrific to describe, the word crucified was enough? This book sets out to explore the events that led up to and surrounded the crucifixion of Jesus in some detail, comparing gospel accounts. This is followed by an examination of what the crucifixion of Jesus achieved and what its meaning is today.
