A coloring book for veterans and those who respect veterans who have fought for American ideals, here is your look at some of the unsung heroes of every war... the Cleanup Crew... formalized in World War II as part of the Quartermaster Corps, a cleanup crew was assigned to Graves Registration, and had the difficult and dangerous job of locating and retrieving America's fallen, as soon as possible after active combat had moved on... and sometimes while combat still raged around them. To help bring peace to those of us with PTSD and those of us who fought other battles, here is a unique window into war, and a special appeal for the indie film of the same name: The Cleanup Crew, active at Rocket Hub: http: //www.rockethub.com/59614 If you thought Band of Brothers showed heroic efforts, well, we do too... but after every paratrooper vs tanks battle there were some for whom the fighting was over... forever. These needed to be cleaned up, removed from the places where they fell, their sacrifice and positions recorded and their mortal remains prepared for either local burial (as in France, after D-Day) or shipment back to the US for interment in a family plot. This is where our 'Cleanup Crew' came in, locating fallen comrades from last night's fights, during daylight hours today, and recording a whole checklist of required info for every fallen soldier. As if that weren't enough, there were times when normal duties had to be set aside for the moment and they returned to being first and foremost, Fighting Soldiers... as in the Battle of the Bulge, when Cleanup Crew found themselves fighting alongside cooks and clerks at Bastogne. So set your mind to understand, at a deep level, the sacrifices and mindset of the few, the hard-core, the Cleanup Crew!
