The family surname of Ballingall has a long lineage in Scotland. The family is an old Fifeshire family dating back to 1490 when they appeared as the proprietors of Riggs in Kettle Parish. The earliest known record of the Ballingall family appears in 1699 with the gravestone of Alexander Ballingall in the Kettle Parish Churchyard in Kingskettle. Thusly, the modern day family members are descended from this Alexander Ballingall. This is the most complete and comprehensive book written to date on this illustrious and ancient family of the Kingdom of Fife. Over 40 years of records were researched and are now assembled on the history of this Scottish family covering 4 generations spanning over 135 years. These are the records of our ancestors and it is to their memories that this work is lovingly dedicated for all time.
