But his exploits lead some to believe that he is the one to lead them to a world where humans are free to rule themselves, a world where human daughters are not snatched away and given elven seeds to give birth to monsters and die. He befriends unusual characters, and uses his extraordinary skills to protect those he cares for. But even they are not enough to stop him from being taken into slavery in the one domain where elves are rarely to be seen: the sea.
