Why study the book of Hebrews? Why now? What makes it so key and vital to your walk in today's day and age? What can a book written to Jewish believers thousands of years ago teach you today? But what had started out as pure religion, originating from God, became tainted, filled with man-made rules and regulations. The temple and the priests and the sin offerings could not perfect the people of God. Only the One true sacrifice could do that. The book of Hebrews was written to show them that the Bible, all the stories and laws and poetry, all point to one person: Jesus Christ. It shows us that the Bible is the story of redemption, not through what people do to be good, but through what Christ did on the cross and on the third day. The goal of this study is to help you grow in a deeper relationship with Christ. Pure and simple. Our walk with him is the most important part of our lives. I hope this writing helps you on that journey. The author of Hebrews has woven together a book that points to the profoundly simple and important truth that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.
