Piano scale pictures are the key to Merv Kennedy's see and play Visual Piano Method. The musical melodies that we all enjoy are made up of "tones played in time," each of which is selected from a scale selected by the composer or player. This book presents the 12 major scales that anyone who aspires to play the piano will find easy to learn. Major Scale Pictures show the piano keyboard in groups of 3 (black buttons) and 2 (black buttons). This approach boils the entire piano down to what happens in the "big group" and the "little group" that are shown as a picture for each of the 12 major scales. A circle designates the "tonality" or key in which you are playing. Every other button pressed ( play one, skip one, and play one) simultaneously, will make beautiful chords. Players who find some keys more difficult than others will immediately and easily see and play all of the major scales. Merv Kennedy has performed music and taught musicians for over half a century.
