Reseña del libro "Japanese Constitution Art. 9 and World Peace: - Preparing for the Plebiscite (en Inglés)"

The aim of this book: With the initiative of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who firmly believes that the 'post war period' never ends without the present constitutional reform, it is for sure that the plebiscite will be held within a few years in Japan. As its result is surely going to have strong impact to our daily lives, we are recommended to have an accurate understanding of the constitution before voting.I intend to explain to the public the true meaning of the controversial Article 9 and the possible consequence of its amendments in a easiest possible expression from the viewpoint of an unconventional citizen. The gist of this book: Japanese people, who experienced the world's only atomic bomb damage and the various other most miserable destructions in the last world war, learned lessons that at the dispute among nations one should not intimidate the opponent by force of arms or actually use the force to the opponent as purpose to compel one's own position to the other, and thus created Article 9 so as to realize ' a country without war' Since the emergence of the anti-war pact after World War I in 1928, many countries in the world adopted the renunciation-war clause in their constitutions and pledged not to engage in an act of aggression. However, almost all nations never abolished their military forces, while Japan determined in Sect.2 of Constitution Art.9 that she would never maintain military forces. Now for the past half century many nations including Big 5 Victory have been committing war in various fields in the world on the pretext of protection of safety of nationals and of world peace, whereas Japan without military force have never had chance to engage in any war. But now the opinions to amend Constitution 9 that has the significant half-century history is becoming stronger in order that the Self-Defence Force, whose mission is to defend the country against possible invasion, should be changed to the military force that other nations in the world commonly keep. In this booklet all simple questions surrounding Art.9, that we ourselves created, are explained in an easy interview format.
