The poetry book culminates with the poem titled "freebird." The "freebird" is one who sees through the human illusion and casts off the delusions of ego, societal expectation, and self-criticism. It does all this to finally be able to fly.ReviewsHow do I begin to explain how much I enjoyed this book. It is no secret that contemporary poetry isn't my cup of tea. More often than not, I find it quite hard to hit the mark in just a couple of sentences, but this book really stood out to me. It's hard to explain, but "freebird" feels almost biographical to me. All throughout the book, I was thinking "Oh my god, this is totally me" or "I have felt this exact same way".
