He Jiachan (10/25/1916 - 10/29/1977), a major general of Chinese People's Liberation Army.He Jiachan was born in Shangyou County, Jiangxi Province, China in 1916. Jiachan joined The Red Army in Dec.,1931. He went through the Long March of the Red Army. During 1938-1944, he was a battalion commander of The Eighth Route Army 359th Brigade, and fought with the Japanese invading army. During the Civil War, he was a head of the CPLA for taking over Xinjiang and northern Tibet. He was the commander of the front command of Kangxiwa for 1962 Sino-Indian border war （Battle of Walong）. Inevitably, he was persecuted during the Great Cultural Revolution. He was sent to a farm to tend pigs. He had been resumed to a position of Chief of Staff for Fuzhou Military Region in 1975. Jiachan died on duty due to myocardial infarction on Oct. 29th, 1977, leaving behind his wife and four children. The author of this book is Jiachan's youngest daughter.何家产 (1916.10.25 - 1977. 10.29) ，中国人民解放军少将，江西上犹县人。他在大革命时期加入红军；经历了严酷的长征和抗日战争，在中共军史鲜有提及的河北蔚县明铺伏击战中担任八路军三五九旅七一七团的重要作战指挥员并身负重伤。国共内战中，何家产主要参与解放新疆、新疆剿匪和指挥和平解放藏北的战斗。历任新疆和田军分区司令员、阿勒泰军分区司令员、政委、阿勒泰地委第一书记、新疆南疆军区司令员、新疆军区司令部参谋长等职。1962年中印边境冲突，何家产被调任康西瓦前线司令员，打赢了中印边境战。文革中，他遭受迫害，被送到安徽农村喂猪。1975年何家产被恢复工作，任福州军区司令部参谋长。1977年10月29日，他在福建一个小山村考察军务时心脏病发作而逝世。遗下妻子和四个子女。本传作者为传主的小女儿。
