As Martha investigates Moon's strange death, the local sheriff is dealing with relationship troubles, a pregnant teenager is considering her future, and a puppy finds its way to the farm. In this second Martha Johnson adventure, Martha leaves the familiarity of Minnesota for the Colorado unknown. She learns that the people of Las Animas County, Colorado, value their privacy. Martha's investigation will lead her to a mysterious mute teenager, a local cantina, and a bushel of secrets.
