This is an all-inclusive book about the sport trivia of famous politicians and entertainers. While several books have been written about sport trivia and many more about politicians and entertainers, you will find no book that combines these genres like this one. If you had attended the 1926 Rose Bowl, you would have recognized an All-American halfback who turned down professional football to become a major movie icon. Among the players on the opposing team, you may have recognized a tall, muscular, tackle that later won the silver medal in the shot put during the 1928 Olympic Games, and went on to star in many action movies, including Tarzan, as well as many westerns. A few years later, an All-American center at the University of Michigan turned down professional football to go to law school and later became the President of the United States. How many members of the 1928 Olympic team played in action movies? How many members of the 1964 Olympic team served in the U.S. Congress? This book includes many stories about these events, as well as the many relationships in sport that some of these former athletes experienced together. You may have watched a movie and recognized an athlete from a sporting event that you had watched earlier. This book allows you to realize that connection.
